Yuri Simões has devoted his life to becoming a world champion, and in this video you’ll see and hear just what the life of a competitor is really like. Awarded his black belt on 31st December 2011, this is Yuri’s first year as a black belt competitor.
Already at the top of the brown belt division, Yuri describes just what he does in order to compete at the most difficult level of the sport and compete among the elite grapplers in the world – the sacrifices he’s made, the way he trains, and how he’s had to adapt his mentality to be able to face men who were once his idols.
